Solving the Housing Crisis

Inflation, and an outdated minimum wage, make it nearly impossible for hard-working Americans to afford housing.  Everyone needs a roof over their head and stability, knowing they have a place to live.

  • Lower interest rates for the working class.

  • Remove barriers to homeownership.

  • Give incentives to home sellers to accept fed-backed loans over cash buyers that seek multiple properties.

  • Stop the abuse of rental properties in tourist areas.  Americans need a place to live year-round.

  • Regulate AirBnB and similar platforms.

Rebuilding Our Economy

Our small businesses need our support. It is pertinent that we provide support for our small businesses through loan programs, trainings, and economic stimulus. Small businesses create jobs and are the threads that hold local economies together. We need to do everything we can to support our small business owners.

The federal minimum wage needs to be increased.  Inflation has sky-rocketed, and the federal minimum wage hasn't changed since 2009; it is still $7.25 an hour.  It is time to keep up with inflation and pay workers a livable wage.  In addition, if the minimum wage is increased, more people will be inclined to work, boosting our economy by increasing tax revenue.

We need members of Congress that are for the people, not the corporations.  Tax incentives should go to those who need them, not corporations or billionaires.  Many tax credits require you to be wealthy to utilize them.  I believe billionaires and corporations should have a cap on tax incentives and write-offs. Having caps would ensure that they pay their fair share.

Politics and Healthcare

Politicians are not healthcare experts, so they should not have a say in what a doctor recommends for their patients.  Governmental influence on healthcare is not Pro-Life; it is causing unnecessary deaths.  We the People, need to stand up and demand less governmental influence on our healthcare.  Politics should only play a role in healthcare when the government signs the check and negotiates lower healthcare costs.

  • Politicians should not have a say in what a doctor recommends for their patients.

  • The separation of medical care and government influence is vital.

  • Stop the abuse of power from judges attacking FDA-approved medications.

  • Affordable Healthcare for All.

Reproductive Freedoms

Reproductive freedom for women is not an option; it is an obligation for our government to protect women's rights.

Pass the Women's Health Protection Act.

Codify Roe v. Wade in the Constitution.

Protecting Veterans Benefits

Veterans need more support and resources.  It is our obligation as a country to protect those who protected us.  The United States of America would not be the "land of the free" without their sacrifice.

  • No budget cuts to the V.A.

  • Strengthen transportation services to shuttle disabled Veterans to their doctor appointments.

  • Loosen restrictions on the V.A. loan process.

  • Property tax breaks for disabled vets.

  • Stronger support systems for Veterans who are struggling with physical/mental disabilities.

War Against Drugs

In 2021, more than 106,000 Americans died from a fatal drug overdose, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse.  We need to get drugs off the streets. If you stop the drugs at the source, there will be less death.

  • Better mental health resources and rehabilitation centers.

  • More funding for the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Coast Guard.

  • Enact strict inspections on packages from China (the primary source of Fentanyl trafficked through mail in the U.S.).

Environment and Climate Change

Our duty as humans and beings of this earth is to preserve nature and treat the environment as our home.  There are ways we can make change and protect our planet.

The Red Tide on the southern and Gulf Coast needs to be controlled.  Brandon supports funding research on how to kill the Red Tide before it kills the creatures in our sea.  He also supports research on the wind turbine projects in the northeast to ensure we are building sustainability without harming wildlife.

  • Fight climate change.

  • Withdraw from the Willow Project

  • Save the marine life washing up on the shore.

  • Build a more sustainable future.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Brandon is an advocate for every person in America.  He believes everyone should have the same opportunities in life and should not be discriminated against based on sex, race, sexual orientation, or disabilities.  Below is an image depicting the difference between equality and equity.
